Microlearning is a focused, bite‑sized way of learning that delivers one clear objective at a time, usually in just a few minutes, so learners can actually absorb and use what they learn. It works because it cuts through cognitive overload and taps into proven learning principles—like spaced repetition, retrieval practice, and tight attention windows—to boost retention and make new skills stick. When it’s designed intentionally, research shows microlearning can strengthen everything from knowledge and on‑the‑job performance to engagement, motivation, and confidence, all while fitting naturally into busy workflows and modern digital tools.
