I first encountered microlearning in 2017 while working on a medical device product launch. At a planning meeting, the Learning Architect introduced microlearning as the core methodology for the pre-launch training, explaining it as "small, focused chunks of information addressing key learning objectives." Initially skeptical since I was used to writing 40-50 page modules, I quickly saw how effective shorter, targeted content could be for engaging learners and delivering key information. That experience not only convinced me of microlearning’s power but inspired me to create the Introduction to Microlearning course, showcasing its potential to transform learning design.
I designed and developed this course using Rise, PowerPoint, GarageBand, Camtasia, and Snagit.
